The driver of the diesel truck inconvenienced the Living Word daily coffee clutch for a few minutes while he left his child with the air on in the cab and he is judged harshly as a mean person raising a mean child. Maybe he was bringing his child for a chemo treatment that morning. Maybe critical idle people annoy him. In addition why does pastor hope to see him again; to give him one of his seven necessary daily hugs? Two friends may go to the same movie and one may come out of the theater and say, "That was the best movie ever!" and the other may say, "I hated it." Both opinions are valid. However, a woman who ten years ago criticized one of pastor's sermons has issues and needs meds because he was unable to deal with her criticism. Where is the chesed here? No wonder pastor has such a bleak outlook of the world, he judges others so harshly. The primary reasons for divorce in this country are money and infidelity. Perhaps pastor could give examples of how couples can be more loving and understanding to one another rather than the impractical suggestion that everyone becomes a pet owner. Pastor Osteen's message is no phenomenon; it is the same as our new presidents':HOPE.
